Where?! Just -where- do the people on cosplaylab get that there are hardly any Gravitation cosplayers?! Oh my god. There are flocks of them! More so than I've ever seen X cosplayers -- with the possible exception of this year, because of the TV series. I mean.. come on.. here's an easy test. Go there.. enter X into the search. How many X costumes come up -- now enter Gravitation. Gravi fans have pages and pages worth of costumes! I love the concert outfit to death.. but it's been killed. For the love of a series.. you'd have to cosplay from it -- even I.. after avoiding Gravi for so long, wanted to cosplay from it.. but .. could I even put myself in a costume that so many people have done.. It would really depend on who I cosplayed.. and who would be cosplaying with me.
It's the stuff like this that makes you want to get a costume done in a week. -.-

It really is too bad I don't have anyone else for a Gouhou Drug group. I have to speak to Alex about doing a Kouryuu in the Wish group, instead of me being Kouryuu. She's much more into that character personality than I am. I would want to do Touki far too much to do both. I'm not sure if we'll EVER get our Clover costumes done.
I'm also not sure if I really am doing Hatsuharu for Megacon. It depends on my funding situation and how my job is going. Cassie said she had a stuffed cow for me to use.
As far as I know, I'm still doing Touya, and I will get the purple shirt to finish Sasame. I will...someday.

Well, my Hikago (Hikaru no Go) cosplay took a kick this evening. I was originally doing Akari (ages ago), then switched to Isumi in our group. Really I was doing it for Becky. Then tonight, I find that everyone has urged Cassie to do Isumi - including Becky. Such is the feeling of being cast aside. If it had been someone I didn't know, and they didn't know I was doing Isumi, that'd be ok. But, Becky is obviously being added into their group as Waya (she was doing Hikaru), and since I was only making the costume for her (other than the fact it's the character I like most in Hikago), then... it's pointless.
So many cosplay groups, so little time.

M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S
Nothing makes Christmas more interesting than a visit from Seishirou-san. There was a knock at my door. When I went to see who it was. There was simply a wrapped red present sitting in the middle of the hallway. Now, the hallway where my apartment is is kind of, cross shaped. There's the main hallway, and then a hallway that branches off to my door. The present was sitting right at the cross between the hallways. There was no one around. Every nerve was on full alert. It was such a -bad- idea to walk out there and get it, but I did. I stepped to the edge of the hallway and looked down both sides of the main hallway. No sign of Seishirou-san. I walked over to the present, kneeled down, and picked it up. I hadn't looked close enough to notice the bells. The second they jinged, my head shot up and I looked both ways down the hall. Once, then to the other side, then back -- there. The black trenched figure came right around the corner, smiling. Total shock and surprise, even though I knew - I knew - that Seishirou-san would be lurking nearby.
I darted back inside and attempted to catch my breath. Seishirou-san was already at the door.
I sat there, and opened the present, darting nervous eyes up and then back down towards the wrapping. As soon as the last traces of tissue vanished - I saw was it was. A journal. The symbol for "Om" on the cover. Sakura across the spine and back. On the inside it said the book belonged to me. And then beneath that, was written: To my darling Subaru-kun! Here's to all the things left unsaid.. Sakurazuka Seishirou, Dec 24th, 2002.
I flipped the page. There was more written in it. The first page, by far had the most meaningful thing. "The truth is found between the lies..." A poem was on the second. Seishirou-san said that it wasn't finished. That there was other stuff to be put on the pages, but that the book was for me. There's stuff I've been waiting for what seemed like a lifetime that will eventually be in this book.
But, that wasn't my only gift. The second came in a little box, with sakura on top of it. Inside was a black velvet pouch. I opened it up, and poured out its contents. A silver pentagram on a black cord. A way for Seishirou-san to 'claim' me that was a little more permanant than the stars that would fade. It was definately a memerable Christmas eve. Among the many things that I'll never forget.

More Kazahaya and Rikuou! This page is fabulous! From what I see, she has access to nice Gouhou Drug scans. I adore this little passage:Rikuou, boink Kazahaya while you still have the chance, because when Fuuma finds out that you stole his sunglasses, you're toast.
It's that great? I hear February Asuka is out. I'm desperately waiting for Gouhou Drug scans (I hear they get the cover) and for the next X update! *dies* HURRY!

After trolling CLAMP's album, I've collected a few pictures to make new layouts for. I have quite a handful, and came across a Kazahaya/Rikuou picture that I like much more than the Kamui layout I designed for after Christmas. So Kamui will be shoved back or totally forgotten, and the new layout will come just after Christmas.

The X in Wonderland casting on this page is HIGHLY amusing. After all -- there is Miyuki-chan in the X Movie (at least there is in the manga). Yuuto as the Cheshire Cat is too funny.
I was attempting to keep up with all the weblogs that mentioned the X Cosplay so that the group could see the comments made on them. It's just -too- hard. I have to give Becky the upper hand. Since she had a headache during the shoot and layed on EVERY CAST MEMBER, every cast member has gotten interesting little sayings. She was just enjoying being around Fuuma WAY TOO MUCH! I have to say at least we got our fair number of Hinoto, Kanoe shots.. since Ang moved very far. While it had the clearest pictures (thanks Maboroshi) on a whole, I wish the shoot had gone better. The monday after a convention wasn't a good idea for a shoot since we were so tired. My apartment was also not a good idea. I can't say anything about how the shoot ran, because I don't remember most of it. I remember my face with I was told that I had passed out.. and Seishirou-san was laying on me. -.-

X Page idea. As most of the X group knows, the page has been LONG overdue to be put up. There are so many pictures.. to put it up will take forever to scan. Well.. we're going to have some hidden cookies on our site. One includes a file report from CLAMP Gakuen Kaikigenshou Kenkyuukai Jiken File ( The CLAMP Campus Strange Phenomenon Research Society Case Files ) where there will be files of strange reports and candid pictures of the cast in action. Aside from that.. we're still working on more photoshoots and seperating all the specific photos into piles. (The Research Team has their work cut out.) The next scheduled convention for the X Cast to attend is Megacon. Surprisingly, we're working on getting the entire cast there. At the last convention we had most the cast -- our Karen couldn't show, and Yuuto showed too late (We can only assume Karen had an appointment -- and Yuuto was her client.)

Well, I've gotten ahead of myself again. I got a guestbook for this page, since haloscan doesn't seem to be allowing sign ups right now. Really the only thing wrong with a pitas account, is the fact you can't comment. To fix that, naturally I have my tag-board, email, and now the guestbook (which might eventually get changed to be prettier).

Other than that, I'm debating on putting an X picture of the day up until we eventually get the page up. I was looking at the candid Nataku shot from the second rooftop shoot downtown.. and I really want to put that up somewhere.
In any case, Becky absolutely adored Reversal etc.. She loves everything about it..

I'm dead tired, but I felt this needed to be addressed. The X Cosplay group spread like wildfire. Not even being on an X blog for 24 hours before some very noticable people picked up on it. Being that it was out first shoot, and only the pictures from one camera.. it was hard to say. Some liked it.. some had thoughts on it due to their cosplay ideals (like one thought ghetto cosplay was better and we were too stiff) .. and while I can support some points... that I mean.. it -was- our first shoot and all. Some of them were a little harsh. The worst, actually.. seemed to be aimed at Nicole... who one person said that "Seishirou was terrifying .. and not in a good way."

Flat out... I know I could never acknowledge anyone else as my Seishirou. One.. I couldn't even concieve of it. The day Nicole stops doing Seishirou cosplay -- is when I stop doing Subaru.. and hell better freeze over first...
Other than that.. Ko-sempai, and Beth -- some awesome people took it well, and liked the group a lot. There were other people that commented on it.. and while they loved certain aspects.. didn't like others quite as much. I suppose, I can look more brightly at it .. as seeing as I wasn't really mentioned at all. Becky -- did you lay on EVERYONE during the shoot?! I mean.. There were starting to get Aoki/Kamui vibes. COME ON?! As far as I see it.. I want the next shoot to blow them away. They haven't seen anything but Mike's pictures of the May shoot. We've done so much since then. Worked so much harder on our costumes.. If I have to drag a fog machine out into the middle of downtown Orlando to get a cool street shot -- for just ONE picture. I'm going to.
I know the things that I need to make my Subaru costumes perfect.. now.. if I can just get those.

Her post was not clear at all -- and sounded like she cut down someone's costume. Since then, it has been cleared up. She didn't insult the costume. Feel free to keep this link if you want.

I think I've decided to make this journal slightly more than my cosplay journal, only for reasons that I'm a layout nut, and recently - I haven't been able to post anything personal on livejournal.
Other than that, I -do- have cosplay news. For some reason, I got the dire need to fill in the small gaps in our X cosplay group for Megacon. I'm considering if Kathy can do either Souhi or Hien. Omi is considering Keiichi. Becky is going to talk to Greg about doing Saiki. If we filled out Souhi and Hien, Keiichi, and Saiki. The ONLY really main characters we'd be missing are all the parents and the CLAMP Gakuen trio...

I am -dying- to do my shikifuku, suddenly. I really want to work on it and I can't. This .. sucks. I swear.. that thing is on the top of my list. I have to talk to Kitty about swallowing my pride and applying at Wendy's.. although it isn't fully built yet.. so I might contact the craft stores and see if any are hiring or something like that.

I really had the urge to work on Kazahaya while working on our Yaoi-con group weblog. The layout currently features him.. and I realized just how easy his cosplay was - a wig.. and an apron. The clothes underneath constantly change. Of course.. I kind of wish I had some other people doing Gouhou Drug cosplay, but .. I don't know anyone who could do it. They'd have to be taller than me.
